Lecture by Dr. Svenja Garbade from the series “Education from the Beginning”

Developing reflective awareness of diversity is a key requirement for educational institutions. In her presentation, Dr. Svenja Garbade will provide insights into the DiSiKit project, which utilizes diversity-reflective play materials and children's books as practical approaches. The focus will be on questions such as how everyday theoretical assumptions and internalized knowledge can be reflected upon, and what team-based and individual strategies educational professionals develop when dealing with diversity.

The presentation is aimed at educators, trainees and students, representatives of sponsoring organizations, lecturers at vocational schools and universities, parents, and other interested parties. Following the presentation, there will be time for questions, discussion, and the exchange of shared perspectives and experiences.
