Social inequality is one of the strongest influencing factors on health, and this is especially true during pregnancy and childbirth. Financial worries, precarious housing and employment conditions, and chronic stress increase the risk of complications, affect the course of labor, and make the transition to parenthood more difficult. At the same time, these are precisely the families who are often the hardest to reach and most affected by gaps in care.

This training is aimed at professionals who support pregnant women and young families and who know that medical care alone is not enough. The focus is on practical questions and approaches surrounding the challenges of providing poverty-sensitive prenatal care. The event offers expert insights, opportunities for exchange, and concrete examples from practice. It's not just about knowledge, but also about attitude: about adopting a perspective that recognizes burdens without reducing people to them.
