Online Talk: This event focuses on small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and organizations such as associations, foundations, social service providers, and initiatives. With approximately 3.2 million employees, SMEs represent over 99 percent of all businesses in Germany.
More than half of all employees work in these sectors. At the same time, many of these companies and organizations lack their own human resources departments or comprehensive compliance and diversity structures. Time, personnel, and financial resources are often scarce. Nevertheless, they too are required to effectively protect employees from sexism and discrimination and to create a respectful working environment for everyone.
Especially in light of the current debate about reducing bureaucracy in small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and the increasing scarcity of resources in many non-profit organizations, the question arises: How can effective prevention be achieved without creating additional bureaucratic hurdles? What simple and effective measures can be taken to counteract sexism? What changes in leadership, communication, and work organization can make a difference?
Thursday, September 24, 2026, 2:00–3:30 p.m. (via Zoom)
