Multiple births – now what?

Whether after a long-standing, unfulfilled desire to have children or completely spontaneously: a multiple pregnancy is always a huge surprise.

Alongside the joy of pregnancy, anxieties and worries quickly arise. A multiple pregnancy always carries an increased risk for mother and children. Instead of simply being able to rejoice, parents of multiples often have to grapple with the topic of reduction and fetal reduction early on.

Uncertainty about upcoming changes and financial burdens adds to the worries of expectant parents. Friends and family are often unable to offer much advice in this situation. Even doctors and midwives are frequently at a loss when it comes to what will happen once the children – in the vast majority of cases, premature babies born via cesarean section – are born. In this situation, parents need very specific information and the opportunity to connect with others in similar situations.

Triplets and more connect us. That's what moves us, that's what defines us. With us, you'll find solidarity and community.

Together we are the ABC-Club eV. For over 30 years we have been the first point of contact for families with triplets and more.

Based on our many years of experience and the diversity within our club, we want to be a source of guidance, gladly sharing our knowledge with new member families. Within our club, having triplets is the norm.

With us, you are not alone. We stand for solidarity with triplets and more.
