Exploring new paths – developing trust – finding security
AfJ eV advocates for the interests and needs of children, young people, and their families in Bremen and the surrounding area. For over 40 years, we have been developing services to advise and actively support young people and their families within the framework of the Child and Youth Welfare Act.
We offer services in the areas of educational support, integration assistance, youth development, and family support. Our approximately 100 employees ensure that children and young people facing difficult circumstances also have good opportunities for their personal and social development.
Support for children, young people and families
Inpatient care
If their family of origin simply isn't the right place for them right now, young people can find a place to live with us where they can live in a community and, with reliable support, forge their own path. Our youth residences and shared living arrangements offer a safe new home during this time.

- Youth shared accommodation

Partial inpatient care
Our therapeutic day group on the grounds of the Ohlenhof Adventure Farm offers 10 children between the ages of 6 and 12 a space to play and learn between 11:30 a.m. and 5:30 p.m. The children eat together, receive homework support, spend time outdoors, and experience nature and animals. We work closely with parents and schools. Admission requires an application for child welfare services from the Social Services Office.
