BeBeE is one of the nationwide ombudsman offices for child and youth welfare. Consultation is available when questions or specific problems arise in contact with public authorities (e.g., the youth welfare office) or independent child and youth welfare organizations.
A request can be submitted to the ombudsman's office in the state of Bremen
- For child welfare services: if the Bremen or Bremerhaven youth welfare office is responsible. If this is not the case, the contact persons will gladly refer you to the appropriate ombudsman's office.

The work of the advice center is based on the German Social Code, Book VIII. The ombudsman's office can also be contacted with ombudsman-related questions in the area of open-access children's and youth work.
