ASB Bremen currently has taken over the sponsorship of childcare services at many Bremen primary schools as part of the reliable primary school program as well as in open and structured all-day programs.
The ASB Bremen State Association has been active in the field of institutional child and youth welfare in Bremen since the mid-1980s and is a recognized provider of youth welfare facilities. Currently, nearly 400 educational staff members work at over 50 schools in Bremen. The types of schools served range from reliable primary schools to full-day and open all-day schools, as well as secondary schools.
Tasks:
- Organization and implementation of extracurricular activities,
- Support and guidance for children and young people during practice times in the afternoon,
- Accompanying the children at lunchtime,
- Creation of leisure activities for children and young people,
- Supervision of working groups,
- Provision of language support programs,
- Focus on social learning,
- Parental involvement in cooperation with teachers, as well as,
In addition to its diverse tasks at schools, the children's and youth welfare department of the ASB state association Bremen also manages the open after-school care center at the Ellenerbrokweg primary school.
