District: Mitte
Target audience: Female

The MKH is a leisure space for girls and young women between 7 and 27 years old.

At our open drop-in center, you can hang out and chill from Monday to Wednesday, play foosball, be creative, meet up with friends, make new friends, listen to music, play games, surf the internet, use the garden, get support, and realize your own ideas. We have many large rooms and a garden. So there's plenty of space to hang out, burn off energy, and do other activities.

The MKH is a meeting place for everyone who identifies as a girl or woman, grew up as such, or would like to be one.

We consider the distinction between people as either girls or boys to be socially constructed (i.e., made by people) and far too rigid. There are many more ways to identify oneself in terms of gender. To make this visible, we use the underscore (_) or the asterisk (*) when writing.

We believe that girls are and can be so much more than is often portrayed in stereotypes about them. Here at MKH, we want to offer all girls a space to feel and move freely.
