Recognized guardianship association of the city of Bremen
The Bremen Relief Organization has been a recognized guardianship association of the city of Bremen since 1992. We offer advice, support and assistance to people who require legal guardianship in accordance with Sections 1896 et seq. of the German Civil Code (BGB).
Or those who wish to explore options for planning ahead in case they become dependent on care – for example, due to an accident, illness, or old age. They have the following options to exercise their right to self-determination:
- Power of attorney
- Advance directive
- Advance healthcare directive
We also advise people who have been appointed as voluntary legal guardians and who would like to find out about specific issues of guardianship law in this context.
