Bremer Erziehungshilfe GmbH is a recognized provider of child and youth welfare services in the state of Bremen and operates independently of political parties and religious denominations. Bremer Erziehungshilfe was founded in 2012 by Ali Uysun, initially as a service of the association Wir in Tenever eV; however, since 2013, Bremer Erziehungshilfe has been an independent limited liability company (GmbH).

With our work, we aim to support the positive identity development of children and young people, convey appreciation for other cultures, and promote intercultural communication in a multicultural living environment.

We aim to strengthen and stabilize family structures and, in particular, to support and promote the development of children and young people. This includes support during the transition from school to work, leisure activities in the neighborhood, and opportunities for political and cultural education. With our services, we want to contribute to improving the living conditions of families, especially their children, in Bremen.

Our self-image

The family is the place where children and young people can best be supported and cared for. Through intensive support and guidance, we aim to assist families in their parenting responsibilities, coping with everyday problems, resolving conflicts, and interacting with authorities and institutions, as well as, of course, empowering them to help themselves.

The Bremen child welfare services are open to all families. In addition, we offer a focus on intercultural work with families. To ensure good access to families with a migration background or resettled families, we always strive to assign native-speaking social workers to these families.

The well-being of the child is always our highest priority in our work.

This is important to us…

  • Respectful interaction
  • Expansion of parenting skills
  • to work in a systemic and solution-oriented manner
  • To agree on individual goals
  • Working in a resource-oriented manner within and outside the family system
  • Networking between the family system and support and leisure services
  • Addressing culturally determined prejudices, role models and values
