The Bremen Bicycle Musicians – A Bicycle for Every Child

We want to provide children in Bremen whose families cannot currently afford a bicycle with a bicycle on a permanent basis.

We accept unwanted children's bicycles, refurbish them, and distribute them to children through kindergartens and primary schools, ensuring they are roadworthy. We also welcome donations of helmets, locks, bells, lights, bicycle tools, and other spare parts.

Sharing bicycles – this is how cooperation works

Do you work at or are involved in a primary school or kindergarten?

Would your children love bicycles? Then write to us. We'll get in touch to discuss further details. As class teachers or educators, you can usually assess which children (in the school, year group, or class) would benefit from a bicycle. We'll discuss together how, when, and where a group bicycle handover will take place.

Are you working at or involved in a secondary school?

We don't have bicycles for you, but if you're considering setting up a bicycle club, a self-help workshop, or something similar at your school, we'd be delighted to collaborate. We can provide you with donated bicycles, spare parts, and tools; your students can then refurbish the bicycles so they can be given to children in need. We may also be able to offer short workshops on bicycle repair.
