The Bremen Environmental Advisory Association (Bremer Umwelt Beratung e.V.) has been providing environmental advice since 1990 with the support of Bremen's Senator for Climate Protection, Environment, Mobility, Urban Development and Housing. As a non-profit organization, we offer advice independent of suppliers and products.
Construction, Housing, Energy
Our work focuses on the areas of construction, housing, and energy. Environmentally friendly materials ensure a comfortable living environment. Well-insulated houses, modern heating systems, and efficient household appliances help save energy and money.
We also want to encourage active climate protection. There is a particularly high need for action in private households.
Ecological rainwater management
Our consultations on the use and disposal of rainwater serve the purposes of adapting to the consequences of climate change, flood protection, the protection and preservation of drinking water quality, and groundwater and soil protection.
An important component of this is the “Framework Programme for Ecological Rainwater Management”, which we manage on behalf of the Senator for Climate Protection, Environment, Mobility, Urban Development and Housing.
Those wishing to unseal surfaces can benefit from funding programs offered by the state of Bremen. The construction of rainwater or greywater harvesting systems, or green roofs, can also be financially supported. The current funding guidelines.
Environmental Education Bremen
Since spring 2007, the "Environmental Education Bremen" coordination office has been located at the Bremen Environmental Advisory Service. Environmental education creates the fundamental prerequisite for the responsible use of natural resources and empowers our children.
The coordination office contributes in many ways to ensuring that environmental education has a high priority in our city. Since 2016, environmental education has been under the umbrella of the Bremen Environmental Education Association (Förderverein Umwelt Bildung Bremen e.V.).
