Day center for homeless people
Everyone is welcome at the TASSE (cup) to chat, play games, or read a book. Coffee and tea are available, and there's always something to eat. On Sunday mornings, we have a big breakfast.
Guests can shower, wash and dry their laundry in the TASSE. A small supply of linens and other clothing is also available.
The TASSE is run by the association ALLWO – Hilfen für alleinstehende Wohnungslose e.V. (Allwo – Aid for Single Homeless People). Most members of the association are also employees of the TASSE.
TASSE is financed exclusively through private donations. All staff members work voluntarily and without pay.
Guests of TASSEN
are people who do not have their own room or apartment, or who live in a room without their own toilet, shower, and kitchen. They may also be staying in homeless shelters, staying with acquaintances, or living with them. Almost all are single.
In recent years, more young people and women have been coming to TASSE. And increasingly, we also have guests who come to us really hungry.
We usually have about 30 to 50 guests in the TASSE, but on Sundays and at the end of the month we often have up to 90.
Everything our guests receive from us is free and is financed by private donations that we regularly receive from a fixed group of Bremen citizens.
Opening hours:
Tuesdays 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM
Thursdays 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM
Sundays 10:00 to 12:00
