Promoting and empowering children

Psychomotor developmental support provides therapeutic assistance in small groups to children aged 3 to 16 years on land, in water, and with horses. This support is aimed at children at risk of disability, those with movement, perception, speech, and/or behavioral disorders, as well as children with physical and intellectual disabilities.

In addition to promoting development, EPSYMO offers parents and caregivers individual support and advice.

Our children receive support in small groups. Here, they have diverse opportunities to experience movement, perception, and exploration. This support is provided in a playful manner, without pressure or performance expectations, and utilizes specialized psychomotor materials.

The groups are formed according to the children's developmental level and needs, following a thorough diagnostic assessment. Our group leaders are trained therapists with additional training in psychomotor skills. The goal of this developmental support is to improve perception through hands-on activities and experiences, enabling children to better navigate their environment, school, kindergarten, and everyday life with these newly acquired abilities.

Another goal is the development and strengthening of a positive self-concept, which refers to attitudes and beliefs about oneself. A psychologically stable foundation is of great importance for children with the aforementioned difficulties.

Furthermore, EPSYMO offers comprehensive parental support to the affected parents, e.g. parent consultations, support with school and kindergarten problems, as well as parent discussion groups and information evenings on various topics.
