The women's space EigenArt is a meeting place for women with mental health challenges.
In a confidential and undisturbed environment, women can (re)discover and develop their strengths (Flyer Women's Space EigenArt). We offer a place to connect with one another. The women's space is an open service. You don't need a referral or a prescription.
The women's space thrives on the participation and shaping of its activities by its visitors. Every woman can contribute to the affairs of the women's space according to her abilities and wishes, and ensure a positive and supportive environment.
For this, we wish:
- Respect and tolerance
- mindful handling
- Willingness to reflect
The women's space can also be used individually and according to needs . The rooms are designed so that every woman has the opportunity to be in company or to withdraw for some time.
The team members are available to answer questions, offer advice and supportif desired. No one is left alone; everyone can seek help. We are open to all women who wish to connect with others or simply find a place to relax and unwind.
The women's space team currently consists of five colleagues with diverse professional backgrounds. Most of the team members have many years of professional experience in social psychiatry; they are social workers, trauma therapists, psychiatric specialists, or recovery companions.
During opening hours, two team members are usually present. They plan the activities, facilitate group processes, and offer opportunities for creativity or movement. All new visitors are personally welcomed and given an introduction to the procedures and concept of the women's space.
The team members are also available for shorter, supportive conversations, but without any therapeutic intent. Four social psychiatric organizations have joined forces to make the women's space's special services possible: Arbeiter-Samariter-Bund Gesellschaft für Seelische Gesundheit mbH (ASB), Bremer Werkgemeinschaft GmbH, Initiative zur sozialen Rehabilitation eV, and Verein für Innere Mission in Bremen
are Monday to Thursday from 11:00 to 17:00
and Friday from 11:00 to 15:30
Interested female visitors who are not yet familiar with the women's room are asked to make an appointment for their first visit.
