Impuls Bremen

Center for Healthy and Artistic Movement

The aim of the non-profit association impuls eV is to contribute to the promotion of health and creativity through its offerings in healthy and artistic movement.

Health is understood according to the definition of the World Health Organization (WHO) as follows:
"Health is a state of complete physical, mental and social well-being and not merely the absence of disease or infirmity."

Furthermore, based on the salutogenic model, health is not understood as a static state, but as a constantly evolving process. According to this model, various physical and psychological resources contribute to maintaining health throughout life.

In addition to health-oriented sports programs, dance and art classes, as well as continuing education and training, play an important role. Discovering one's own creative potential promotes mental well-being, improves body awareness, and enhances social skills, enabling interaction and exchange with others. Impuls' educational approach takes this concept into account in all areas.

Impuls eV is divided into three areas: full-time training programs, professional development courses, and courses for laypersons. The goal in all areas is to promote healthy and artistic movement.

Inclusion is an integral part of all areas of life. In accordance with the UN Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities, impuls eV understands inclusion as a human right:
“In an inclusive society, being different is normal. Everyone is welcome. And we all benefit from this: for example, through the removal of barriers so that the environment becomes accessible to everyone, but also through fewer barriers in people's minds, more openness, tolerance, and better coexistence.” (Aktion Mensch)
