Under the umbrella of the State Working Group for Self-Help of Disabled People Bremen eV (LAGS), over 30 self-help associations of disabled and chronically ill people and their relatives from Bremen and Bremerhaven have joined together.
The starting point and guiding principle of LAGS's work are the concerns and needs of people with disabilities. LAGS works for the self-determination and self-representation of people with disabilities and chronic illnesses.
LAGS supports the self-help efforts of those affected and promotes their networking for the exchange of experiences and mutual support.
The association cooperates with all associations of health and disability self-help groups, with the other state working groups in the federal territory and with the Federal Working Group Self-Help of People with Disabilities (BAG SH).
