District: Vahr

In 2023, the Asuman family decided to found MATZ Therapy Center GmbH. MATZ stands for "Mihrac Asuman Therapy Center." But this story doesn't begin with a company, but with a deep, heartfelt wish that originated in their daughter's eyes.

The Asumans are not an ordinary family. They have a daughter who was diagnosed with autism early in life – a very difficult case involving self-harm and harm to others. Thanks to the therapy provided by Dr. Akande and his team, family life has been restored, and their daughter has made tremendous progress.

While her daughter was being diagnosed, the mother, Mihrac Asuman, was diagnosed with terminal cancer and is fighting for her life every day. The family chose the name MATZ as a symbol for all mothers and fathers facing similar challenges. This moment marked the beginning of a long journey, one fraught with difficulties and obstacles. But the Asuman family decided to persevere, not only for their daughter, but for all children and families fighting similar battles.

As parents of affected children, they are aware of the serious challenges that autism brings. They know the burden it places on the family and understand how important holistic support is. It's not just about the child, but also about their personal environment, from daycare and kindergarten to school.

This is how the idea for MATZ GmbH was born: a place where children with autism and their families can find comprehensive support, advice, and assistance. But that's not all. The Asumans provided the initial funding from their own savings because for them, it's more than just a business – it's a matter of the heart. They also received support from other affected families, especially the Ari family from Saarland, as well as from Dr. Aydogdu, who is also a shareholder in MATZ GmbH. They are working closely with Rain Child e.V. to realize their vision of an inclusive and supportive environment for children with autism.

This story is a testament to the power of love, compassion, and the tireless dedication of a family willing to overcome obstacles to help other families in similar situations.

Therapy options

At MATZ, we strive to offer comprehensive and individualized therapy options for children with autism and their families. Our goal is to provide each child with the best possible support and create an environment where they can develop their abilities to lead fulfilling lives. We are proud to play our part in helping every child reach their full potential.

Individual therapy for children

At the heart of our therapy center is individual therapy for children with autism. Here, we lay the foundation for individual progress and personal growth. Our highly qualified therapists work closely with each child to develop tailored therapy plans.

This form of therapy focuses on understanding each child's unique needs and offering appropriate interventions. We use proven methods such as behavioral therapy to strengthen children's social, communicative, and practical life skills.

Group therapy

Group therapy offers children the opportunity to practice and develop social interactions in a supportive environment. In small groups, children can learn skills such as sharing, communication, and teamwork.

Under the guidance of our experienced therapists, the children learn to interact with their peers and build relationships. Group therapy also promotes an understanding of social norms and cultural behaviors.

Crisis support and intervention

We understand that crises can arise in families affected by autism. Our crisis support and intervention services are designed to help parents and families through difficult times. Our team is there for you when unexpected challenges arise, offering practical advice and emotional support.

We help to find solutions and develop strategies together to cope with crises and ensure stability in the child's life.

Parent and environmental counselling / support

We firmly believe that successful therapy for children with autism requires a collaborative partnership between parents, therapists, and the child's support network. Our parent and support network offers training and resources for parents and family members. We help you better understand your child's needs and learn effective techniques for supporting them in your daily life.

The consultation also includes providing information about autism and explaining therapeutic approaches to ensure that the whole family is involved in the therapy process.
