"Around birth and afterwards" a good start for the family
Birth is one of the most significant events in the life of a child, the parents, and the whole family. Trust in your own strength – and give birth as naturally as possible and as safely as necessary!
At the Prof. Hess Parent-Child Center, we place particular emphasis on fostering a close, secure bond between parents and child. We support our staff in managing this demanding task on a daily basis through training, regular professional development, interdisciplinary family conferences, and a monthly obstetrics and neonatology meeting.
There are many ways to prepare for childbirth and various ways to give birth. Our parenting classes offer support as you prepare for the birth, the postpartum period, and a successful start to your family life.
