Facility for people with dementia
Caring for and supporting people with advanced dementia requires particular sensitivity and expertise. The focus is on interactions that respect the individual in their condition. Music, movement, and familiar activities stimulate the senses and motor skills; relaxation periods help alleviate anxiety.
The welcoming atmosphere is enhanced by the bright and friendly design of our premises and the garden. Our aim is to make our day guests' stay a stress-free and enjoyable experience, to provide respite for family caregivers, to offer advice and support, and to work with them to create networks that make life easier for those affected by dementia and their families.
As a recognized institution of the long-term care insurance funds, we define the framework with medical care, nursing assistance and advice from experienced and qualified staff.
Our facility has 18 places. Day guests who are unable to come to our facility on their own can use our transport service.
The Ohlenhof day care center is a model facility funded by the federal government and scientifically supported by the German Association for Senior Citizens' Welfare.
