The association offers time, space, and professional support. Here, tears, laughter, conversation, and silence are all welcome. Bereaved parents and siblings feel understood and supported. Group participants form a supportive network of contacts and relationships and find relief in discovering they are not alone with their feelings and experiences. Parents and siblings who have recently lost a child or sibling hear about the experiences of other parents whose loss occurred some time ago.

Originally formed by a group of parents whose children had died, we have been offering bereavement support and bereavement counselling in Hamburg and beyond for 31 years.

Fathers, mothers, siblings, and grandparents who are grieving the loss of a child, sister, brother, or grandchild can come to us, regardless of the cause of death. Their children/siblings died through stillbirth, infancy, illness, traffic accident or other accidents, drugs, suicide, or violent crime.

Participation is open to everyone, regardless of age, marital status, religious affiliation, or place of residence. In our children's and youth groups, we also support young people who are grieving the loss of a mother or father, grandparents, or other close relatives.
