Documentary film about the challenges, life and daily routine with dementia on the occasion of World Alzheimer's Day, followed by a discussion.

When someone receives a dementia diagnosis, it affects not only them but also everyone around them. From the initial uncertainties and major new challenges to finding a new daily routine, there is a long road ahead, and it is not always easy to travel. For over seven years, Günter Roggenhofer documented his family and his mother's dementia progression on video. Both difficult and beautiful, emotional moments were captured.

This documentary is a collection of heartwarming, private recordings. It offers a very personal and inspiring glimpse into how families cope with a dementia diagnosis.

The Nursing Care Department at the Senator for Health, Women and Consumer Protection is offering interested parties a free screening of the film "Diagnosis: Dementia – A Terror Without a Ghost." After the film, there will be an opportunity to discuss the topic with filmmaker Günter Roggenhofer and representatives from the Nursing Care Department. The event begins at 4:30 p.m. and ends at approximately 7:00 p.m.
