Babylotse Bremen

“Babylotse” is a prevention program established throughout Germany that actively addresses mothers and fathers during pregnancy or immediately after birth and accompanies and supports them through the first exciting time with their baby.

Since January 2022, Caritas Bremen has been offering "Babylotse Bremen" in cooperation with the maternity clinic of St. Joseph-Stift Bremen. To make the often emotionally complex transition into motherhood and fatherhood as relaxed and safe as possible for everyone involved, our Babylotse staff guide parents through the diverse range of early intervention services in and around Bremen.

Baby navigators work with parents to develop solutions for problems that may make life with a baby more difficult. They are well-connected and possess extensive expertise in all aspects of childbirth

• They will connect you with the right person to answer your questions
• They advise on financial support options
• They help with applications or in cooperation with authorities
• They support you in finding a midwife or a pediatrician's office
• They inform you about group activities in your area

The baby navigators will take their time and support you until a good solution is found. Free of charge and confidential. For a good start in life.

Important note: Currently, this offer is only available to (expectant) parents who register for birth or give birth at St. Joseph-Stift (cooperation partner in the Babylotsen project).
