The BreMEN project supports young men between 18 and 35 years of age in developing perspectives to improve their own social and economic participation.

This group of young, disadvantaged men frequently encounters challenges with social and labor market integration. They are often (no longer) reachable by the employment agency and/or the job center.

Often, several obstacles stand in the way of taking up employment or vocational training, frequently occurring in combination. These include, for example, a lack of or insufficient educational and professional qualifications and skills, inadequate German language skills, health limitations, or problematic living conditions. Often, the young men affected are left to fend for themselves or, after prolonged unemployment, are discouraged and no longer look for work.
