District: Findorff

Being a child means discovering the world, enjoying life, and having fun. But unfortunately, this discovery can also end in an accident.

Besides accidents, emergency situations can also arise from sudden illnesses. In any case, quick action can be lifesaving.

Children, however, are not miniature versions of adults. There are differences not only in their anatomy and physiology, but also in their perception and sensitivity. Added to this is their lack of experience with accidents and illnesses.

The course covers the most common pediatric emergencies and includes resuscitation exercises for children and infants using appropriate manikins. These include, for example:

  • Accident hazards and prevention
  • physical characteristics and developmental phases of the child
  • Children in emergency situations
  • Practical training in first aid measures and CPR for children and infants
  • Special emergencies and illnesses in childhood
