District: Mitte
Target audience: Diverse
Type of offer: Consulting offer

When is a woman a woman and when is a man a man? At what point is someone considered diverse, and what does it mean when something is said to be normal or perhaps not? What significance does a variation in sex development have for everyday life and one's environment? And what is normal for me or those around me? What things should be considered to ensure a good life in the long term, especially with a variation in sex development?

In addition to addressing numerous questions from medical, legal, or social contexts, inter* counseling often offers potential for conflict and crisis management, particularly within the triangle of medicine, parents, and children. For this reason, our counseling is based on the principles of mediation and the concept of impartiality.

For you, this means that with us you will find advice that doesn't judge, make recommendations, or make decisions for you. Our approach is to help those seeking advice gain an understanding of their own situation, recognize their own needs and interests, and independently find the best possible solution for themselves and, if applicable, their family. Only you can decide what the best solution is.

People with an intersex background usually have different life circumstances and different questions than parents who are primarily looking for a good way to deal with the issue for their child and secondarily for their whole family.

For this reason, we offer you the expertise of two mediators with different experiences and different life backgrounds to answer your questions.
