The project “Kids in the swimming pools” was initiated on June 1, 2018 in cooperation between the Bremen Sports Youth and the Bremen Swimming Pools GmbH under the patronage of Anja Stahmann, Senator for Social Affairs, Youth, Women, Integration and Sport.
The aim of the project is to support children and young people who cannot swim, or cannot swim well enough, in acquiring swimming skills. "Kids in the Pools" covers the booking and costs of a swimming course.
WHO IS THIS FOR?
The program is designed for kids aged 5 to 18 inclusive
- from low-income families,
- in public education,
- from refugee families
- or other reasons worthy of support.
HOW DOES IT WORK?

- We will review the application and notify all parties involved by email
- If approved, we will work together with the Bremen swimming pools and after consulting with the applicants to find a suitable course
- We will cover the costs of the course using project funds
The project is funded entirely by donations and grants!
