When the need for physical closeness is met, it promotes the reduction of stress hormones and fosters a sense of trust—the trust we place in others as well as in ourselves. Furthermore, touch strengthens the immune system.
The new women's self-help group "NiKi!" aims to provide a safe space and framework for sharing experiences of giving and receiving support. There are clear rules. Mindfulness and personal responsibility are paramount. This self-help group is not a form of therapy. Participation is free of charge.
