What opportunities does AI offer for education – and what risks arise, for example, with regard to educational inequality and new dependencies? The event “AI and Education” on Wednesday, August 19, 2026, from 4:00 to 5:15 p.m. in the AI ​​x Open Lab in the ticket hall of the Forum am Domshof will address these questions.

The event is part of the "Summer of AI," which takes place in Bremen from August 17 to 22, 2026. The occasion is the international AI conference IJCAI-ECAI 2026. The Digital Impact Lab Bremen, together with the Free Hanseatic City of Bremen and numerous partners from science, education, and society, is creating an open learning and experiential space focused on artificial intelligence, digitalization, and future technologies.

Short presentations and subsequent discussions with the audience offer an opportunity to engage with current developments and explore different perspectives.
