Are you interested in providing educational support to young families and contributing to a special project? Then we look forward to your support on the BeLeM team in Bremen-Neustadt. We are seeking a part-time educator (m/f/d) for 30-32 hours per week, starting as soon as possible. The position is initially limited until December 31, 2026, with the aim of continued employment thereafter.
The Bremen district association is one of the largest branches of the German Red Cross (DRK) and currently employs approximately 1,400 people in a wide variety of fields. The Center for School and Career (zsb) is a cooperative institution at the interface of youth services, schools, and careers, and conducts various projects in direct cooperation with the General Vocational School (ABS). BeLeM (Vocational Life Planning for Young Mothers) is a joint project of the zsb and the ABS and is located at the ABS branch in Bremen-Neustadt.
The project supports young mothers without a school leaving certificate in actively shaping their own future, even while raising children. As part of their participation, the young women can obtain their school leaving certificate and receive socio-educational support, while their children are cared for in the project's own childcare group, which is also located in the school building. The project team (social worker, teachers, and childcare staff) works closely together and maintains a professional exchange.
Your responsibilities include, among other things:
- Educational care, individual support and guidance for children aged 3 months to 3 years
- Educational and parenting partnership (parental involvement) with the specific target group of very young parents / mothers
- Taking on organizational tasks, including educational documentation, reporting, and concept development
- Intensive teamwork and cooperation – regular reflection on pedagogical practice takes place within the multi-professional project team
at the specific work location of a vocational school. - Crisis intervention in consultation with the project management
