The Lidice House is an extracurricular learning center for political youth education in Bremen. The youth education center is aimed at young people, young adults, and professionals. Its goal is to promote democratic participation, strengthen social diversity, and support young people in asserting their interests and actively participating in democratic processes.
The main focus areas of the educational and advisory work include the participation of children and young people, historical-political and gender-reflective education, anti-discrimination and empowerment, anti-Semitism criticism, prevention of right-wing extremism, international youth work, as well as media education and digital life worlds.
For professionals and multipliers, the Lidice House offers training courses, seminars, and educational programs on current challenges in child and youth work. These include, for example, right-wing extremism and group-based hostility, critiques of racism and antisemitism, participation, empowerment, and institutional safeguarding concepts.
The Lidice House also includes the Service Bureau for Youth Information as well as several specialist and advisory centers: the nationwide specialist center for right-wing extremism and family (RuF), the soliport advice center for victims of right-wing, racist and anti-Semitic violence and the Mobile Advisory Team against Right-Wing Extremism (mbt).
The Lidice House is also a conference and event center with seminar rooms and overnight accommodation for groups.
