The Service Bureau Youth Information supports young people, professionals and youth work organizations with information, advice, qualification and networking.
The Youth Information Service Bureau is part of the Lidice House youth education center and has been supporting child and youth welfare in Bremen since 1991. Its work focuses on international youth work, youth information, and media education. The goal is to inform and empower young people and to support professionals and multipliers in their work.
The services offered include advising and supporting professionals in planning and implementing international youth exchanges, training courses, conferences, workshops, and networking among relevant stakeholders. As a regional service point of the European youth information network Eurodesk, the Service Bureau also provides information on international mobility programs and funding opportunities.
In the field of media education, the ServiceBureau develops programs to promote media literacy and supports professionals in addressing current developments in digital media and strengthening child and youth protection. It also operates the Bremen youth server jugendinfo.de, where young people and young adults can find neutral and non-commercial information on youth-related topics. Furthermore, it manages the training database for child and youth welfare services on behalf of the responsible youth welfare authority. The services are complemented by projects, publications, and the organization of professional events and international exchanges.
