The Rat&Tat Center for Queer Life e. V. is an advocacy group and contact point for lesbian, gay, bisexual, trans*, intersex and other queer people (LGBTIQ*) as well as for family members, friends and multipliers in Bremen. The center includes a professional psychosocial counseling service.

The counseling center provides information and advice on topics including coming out, sexual and gender diversity, discrimination, crises, relationships, rainbow families, HIV, AIDS, and other sexually transmitted infections. Further areas of focus include empowerment and anti-discrimination counseling for queer refugees, migrants, and BIPoC, as well as services for young queer people.

Rat&Tat offers training courses and information events for professionals, institutions, and groups to raise awareness and enhance skills in dealing with sexual and gender diversity. The content is tailored to the target group and their specific needs. Topics include education, family diversity and parenthood, anti-discrimination and empowerment, health, and diversity in aging and caregiving.

In the area of ​​queer education, there are educational workshops for school classes and training courses for teachers and other educational professionals. In addition, specialist and informational materials as well as media kits for inclusive and diversity-sensitive educational practice are available.

The goal is to support queer people, counteract discrimination, and strengthen social acceptance of sexual and gender diversity.
