AG Movement / Gröpelinger Sports Mile

Actively promoting more exercise in the neighborhood

The Movement Working Group is a dedicated group working on all aspects of physical activity in the Gröpelingen district. Its goal is to develop exercise programs, foster community interaction, and actively shape the vibrant neighborhood. The group brings stakeholders together, sets priorities, and initiates projects that promote movement and exchange.

A key project is the Gröpelingen Sports Mile: an idea that addresses the desire for sporting encounters and communication within the district and has been successfully implemented for many years. The Sports Mile offers space for exercise, interaction, and participation and is actively supported and further developed by the Movement Working Group. This includes the design and enhancement of the Sports Mile, the planning of diverse exercise opportunities, and targeted public relations work.

Another project of the working group is the Gröpelingen Kick. Three times a year, a joint football tournament is held under this name on various football pitches in Gröpelingen – with a special focus on fair play, teamwork, and the fun of the game. The Gröpelingen Kick brings people from the district together and promotes sporting encounters across age and cultural boundaries.
