SexPäd – Sexual Education and Counseling – offers services for professionals in child and youth welfare, integration assistance, counseling, care, and other educational and social fields. Its aim is to strengthen confidence in professionally addressing sexuality, sex education, and the prevention of sexualized violence.
The focus is on a certified, part-time professional development program specializing in sex education and disability. The qualification provides professional, methodological, and legal foundations for topics such as sexual development, sexual and gender diversity, sexual self-determination, inclusion, intimacy and distance, sex education methods, prevention and intervention in cases of sexualized violence, and sexual counseling. Theory, practice, supervision, and project work are integrated.
The training program is based on professional standards in sex education and places particular emphasis on a discrimination-sensitive, boundary-respecting, and resource-oriented approach. Upon successful completion, participants receive a certificate; the training meets the quality standards of the German Society for Sex Education (Gesellschaft für Sexualpädagogik e. V.) and can be credited towards their certification.
The service supports professionals in providing expert guidance for sexual education processes, promoting participation, and further developing concepts for sexual self-determination and protection against sexualized violence in their institutions.
