The “Network of Single Parents” was organized and coordinated by Lisa Fuchs (FAW) until December 2024.
From 2019 to 2024, FAW coordinated the Single Parents (AE) Network in Bremen. Around 50 stakeholders, institutions, and projects joined forces to support single-parent families with a wide range of services.
Lisa Fuchs took on the coordination role. She organized regular networking meetings and ensured that information for single parents was centralized and easily accessible. The goal was to streamline communication and promote direct exchange among those involved. The meetings provided a forum for ongoing professional exchange, during which the needs of single and separated parents were also discussed.
Furthermore, the network actively campaigned to raise awareness of the concerns of single parents in Bremen and to incorporate them into political decision-making processes. It organized various events, including a conference on single-parent families and an action week.
Currently, there is no network for single parents in the city of Bremen.
