Working Group on Violence against Women and Girls

The working group (AK) on violence against women and girls includes female experts who work with women and girls affected by violence in Bremen and Bremerhaven.

The working group addresses what appropriate women's, social, and health policies should look like in the state of Bremen in the area of "violence against women and girls." In addition to professional exchange and networking, the working group's regular meetings also enable the development of cross-organizational concepts for women- and girl-friendly work in the field of violence prevention.

Since its inception in 2011, this has proven particularly valuable because the focus in institutions operating with limited resources is on daily operations on the ground. Key areas of focus have included the perpetrator-victim dynamic, psychotraumatology, and intercultural and transcultural competence in the workplace.
