The psychosocial and therapeutic treatment center for refugees and torture survivors is seeking a Psychological Counselor (m/f/d) for its team in Bremerhaven, starting on January 1, 2027, to provide psychosocial counseling to refugees with special psychological and social needs, 20 hours/week, initially on a temporary basis.
Your tasks:
- Trauma-informed counselling on health and participation issues for young and adult refugees
- Psychosocial clarification sessions, psychoeducation and individual, needs-based support for clients
- Qualified referral to specialist advice centers and the healthcare system
- Subject-related networking
- Team support, documentation
Your profile:
- Degree in Psychology (Master's or Diploma) or equivalent
- Expertise in the context of trauma, displacement and the legal framework for refugees
- Experience in advising vulnerable individuals and with the specific advisory landscape
- high sense of responsibility and reliability as well as teamwork skills
- Multilingualism is an advantage
