There are specialized counseling centers and services aimed exclusively at girls (e.g., Mädchenhaus Bremen or Mädchentreffs) or boys (e.g., JungenBüro), as well as queer youth. In addition, there are counseling services and consultation hours on gender-specific topics.

There are various resources available for young people, such as educational and youth counseling centers, school social work services, and educational support in youth centers and recreational facilities. The children's and youth helpline ("Number against Worries") at 116 111 offers free and anonymous assistance.

Parents and other caregivers can contact the city's counseling centers for children, adolescents, and families with any personal or family-related questions. These might include questions about development, parenting, (family) conflicts, or separation and divorce.
