Becoming a mother or father, taking on the responsibility for a child, is perhaps the most beautiful and exciting task life presents. But when the time comes, questions pile up.
Because role models are scarce, and advice seems outdated. We live in a time where knowledge about the "right" and successful life is rapidly changing. To enable young parents to approach their task with confidence and optimism, we founded the Parents' Center as a place for guidance and inspiration, advice, and mutual support.
Staff from the Women's Clinic and the Clinic for Pediatrics and Adolescent Medicine at Bremen-North Hospital work hand in hand at the Parents' Center, building on years of intensive collaboration between the various professional groups. External course instructors now also work with us, complementing our services.
Our most important goal is to support young parents in building their families by strengthening their security and self-confidence through our experience and knowledge.
The program includes courses and lectures, information sessions and discussions, consultations and meetings for the exchange of experiences.
Inspired by suggestions and ideas from parents, we want to expand the program in the coming years and thus respond to the needs of the people for whom we set up the Parents' Centre.
