Project funding

One of the central tasks of the Crime Prevention Cooperation Unit (KSKP) is to promote networking. Only through successful networking can the societal goal of effective municipal crime prevention be achieved.

To further strengthen existing efforts in Bremen, the Crime Prevention Cooperation Unit is again providing funding this year to promote networking activities focused on crime prevention. This funding is intended to identify and support local projects that support the security strategy, particularly at the local level.

The proposed projects should address needs across city districts to ensure that as many needs-based project proposals as possible are submitted. Crime prevention stands for respectful coexistence in a changing society, and we therefore want to promote broad networking across the city districts.

Children and young people grow up in an ever-changing society where values and norms are constantly being renegotiated. This process is highly relevant for their own identity and personality development. For example, mutual respect and tolerance in dealing with others are universal values that must be protected.

Within this framework, the KSKP will also support projects in 2025 that aim to contribute to the prevention of youth crime and thus promote understanding of democracy and social cohesion.
