District: Huchting

Building bridges to education

Learning and sharing knowledge: At the Robinsbalje neighborhood education center, we support people in Huchting in accessing diverse educational opportunities – or in developing suitable ones for the neighborhood together.

Our aim is to improve learning and educational processes, and we are there for children from 0 to 12 years old and their families. To achieve this, we work closely with numerous institutions and cooperation partners.

Our goals as QBZ:

  • Make advice easily accessible
  • Depending on the need, referrals can be made to other institutions or authorities
  • Develop and promote education-related courses, projects, and events
  • Networking and promoting cooperation in the Robinsbalje district and the Huchting district
  • To be the central point of contact for education in the Robinsbalje district

We offer:

  • Courses and advice on the topics of pregnancy, (development of) infants and toddlers
  • General “guiding advice” for families
  • Various creative activities for children and families
  • Language and integration courses
  • A reading club for children
  • Open and changing topic-specific offers for women, single parents and parents
  • girls' groups
  • Boys' groups
  • Exercise programs for children and young people
  • Holiday programs for children, teenagers and families

Here you can find an up-to-date overview of offers and projects for children, young people and families in the Robinsbalje district.

Network & Cooperations

The Robinsbalje QBZ is a subordinate agency of the Senatorial Authority for Children and Education. The institutions affiliated with the QBZ offer a diverse range of courses. The QBZ is the location for BRISE (Bremen Initiative for Strengthening Early Childhood Development) in the Huchting district.

The QBZ's event and consultation rooms are located on the grounds of the Robinsbalje all-day primary school. The QBZ maintains close cooperation with the school as well as with all other institutions located there, such as the Robinsbalje Children's and Family Center (Kita Bremen), the Huchting Family Center (AfSD Bremen), and the Child and Youth Health Service (Bremen Health Department).

The QBZ management participates in various district-specific as well as district-wide working groups. The QBZ core group and the QBZ advisory group are convened and led by the QBZ management. The central task of the QBZ management is to address and consolidate social and educational issues and topics, and to develop solutions together with the network.

The network consists of representatives from all institutions and initiatives working with children and their parents in the district, particularly in the Robinsbalje neighborhood. Close cooperation partners also include the Huchting Civic and Social Center, the Huchting Neighborhood Management, the Advisory Board, and the Huchting Local Office.
