Zuflucht – Ökumenische Ausländerarbeit eV (Refuge – Ecumenical Foreigners' Work Association) is an association that has existed since 1994. Convinced that all people have the same right to life and to the free development of their personality, we are committed to helping refugees.

We see it as our duty to protect and support persecuted people through:

• Advice for refugees or referrals
• financial support (e.g. family reunification)
• Strengthening volunteers (e.g., advice and training)
• Information events in communities and other locations
• Political lobbying
• Advice on the topic of church asylum
• Administration of the legal aid fund of the Bremen Protestant Church

We advise refugees, volunteers, church congregations, and other interested parties on matters relating to migration, displacement, residency, family reunification, and church asylum. In addition, we inform and connect church congregations as needed and support both paid staff and volunteers in their work with refugees in the neighborhood through training programs

Here you will find our events and training courses. We cooperate with the Protestant Adult Education Center Bremen and the State Association of Protestant Daycare Centers for Children.

Donate

We finance our work almost exclusively through donations, membership fees, and church collections. Support us with a one-time or recurring donation!
