The contact and advice center for care leavers in Bremen
If you are no longer in the youth welfare system and need our advice and support, then simply drop by our drop-in and advice center. Whether you were previously cared for by the SOS Children's Village Bremen or not: We look forward to seeing you!
The consultation is of course free of charge.
We will advise and support you if you
- If you have questions about school, applications, training and career,
- You're struggling with official matters and applications,
- Do you need help with housing and living in Bremen?
- You feel lonely and are looking to connect with peers or clubs, or
- You need someone who can help you sort out your current life situation and think with you about how things can move forward.
We can help you by..
- We bring our knowledge and experience to the consultation, because we have been supporting young people on their path to self-employment for many years
- draw on the large network of the SOS Children's Village Bremen, which includes lawyers, job coaches and psychologists,
- We can arrange volunteer companions for you if needed, e.g. for appointments with authorities or for practicing the German language and
- They know the other advice centers in Bremen and can refer you if one of them can help you even better than we can.
Who is a care leaver?
Care leavers are people who have lived in a group home, foster family or other residential youth care facility and are no longer receiving care.
Who can take advantage of the consultation service?
- All care leavers between the ages of 16 and 27 – regardless of whether they were cared for by the SOS Children's Village Bremen or by another provider.
- The consultation is of course free of charge.
Consultation hours:
We are available to you in person and by phone:
Tuesdays, 5 pm to 7 pm
; Thursdays, 4 pm to 6 pm
