Specialist service for young people

The social space coordination team is part of the Youth Services department and works closely with case management. The Youth Welfare Office aims to establish low-threshold, preventative services for families, children, and young people in the neighborhood. The project funds allocated for this purpose are managed by the social space coordinators. They also play a leading role in organizing decentralized networks, such as the Early Intervention Networks.

Another goal of social space coordination is to network the stakeholders in the social space and support their ideas and their implementation. This is achieved through the participation of regional networks, organizations, institutions, and facilities by developing services and support to organize coordinated action.

A key focus is improving child protection through collaboration between the AfSD (Association for Social Services) and local stakeholders. The social space coordinators are the contact persons in the social centers for sharing information about services, appointments, events, and news. We aim to develop services that are closely aligned with the realities and environments of children, young people, and families.
