Specialist office for debt and insolvency counseling professionals

The specialist center supports debt and insolvency counseling professionals of its affiliated member organizations in their daily work and beyond through its range of services. Among the FSB's primary tasks are to conduct professional qualification and continuing education programs, as well as to ensure expert advice, coordination, and quality assurance in the field of debt and insolvency counseling.

Specifically, the FSB's range of services includes the following activities:

• We ensure the necessary specialist and legal advice for the "appropriate bodies" within the meaning of the Insolvency Code (§305 para. 1 InsO).
• We offer expert advice on all aspects of debt and insolvency counselling.
• We offer practical advice and support in difficult individual cases and can be reached by phone and/or email. Our services include, in particular, the classification and drafting of practical cases and the provision of argumentation materials (case law, etc.)
• We offer our members a practical forum twice a year, which serves as a platform for the exchange of ideas among consultants. Third parties may also be invited to the forum.
• Discounts on training courses.
• Reports from committee activities.

The FSB cooperates with other institutions and organizations throughout Germany and Europe that pursue similar goals and regularly participates in supra-regional working groups and reform projects. The FSB is a member of the German Parity Welfare Association, Bremen State Association (DPWV), the Bremen Consumer Center, and the Federal Association of Debt Counseling (BAG-SB).
