As a group leader in the field of employment and vocational support, you will expand your skills to support and accompany people with disabilities in their participation in working life.

This professional development course is ideal for you if you already lead a group in a workshop for people with disabilities or work in other areas of vocational rehabilitation and support. You will expand your skills to become a certified vocational rehabilitation specialist, independently designing programs that enable people with disabilities to participate in working life. You will learn to plan and design vocational training, work and employment processes, and workplaces.

Requirements for participation

You can participate in the professional development program…

  • if you have completed vocational training/a relevant university degree and have at least two years of professional experience (of which at least six months must be in a sheltered workshop or other areas of employment and vocational support) (at the time of admission to the examination).
  • or if you can demonstrate six years of professional experience (of which at least six months must be in a sheltered workshop or other areas of employment and vocational training) (at the time of admission to the examination).

If you do not meet the participation requirements, special admission is possible in justified individual cases.

  • Module 15: Contents of the Instructor Aptitude Ordinance (AEVO)
  • Module 16: Supporting people in crisis
  • Module 17: Networking and Transition Management
  • Module 18: Exam Preparation
  • Module 19: Preparatory seminar for project presentation and technical discussion

The content is based on the legally defined fields of action (GFABPrV of 13.12.2016) and the recommendations of the BIBB.
