Prevention and safe handling of heatstroke, sunburn and insect bites in children aged 0-3 years
In-person training course, June 23, 2026, ibis Hotel Bremen City
Infants and toddlers are particularly vulnerable to summer health risks. Heat, sun exposure, wasp, mosquito, and tick bites can quickly become dangerous for the youngest children.
How can professionals safely accompany children and effectively support parents?
In this practical training course, you will learn to identify risks effectively and take preventative action. You will gain in-depth insights into warning signs, preventative measures, and the correct course of action in acute situations – supplemented by interactive exercises that train you in practical application.
Furthermore, the workshop will discuss how you can convey this knowledge to (expectant) parents in an understandable and practical way. Helpful resources will be presented, and space will be provided for individual questions, sharing experiences, and discussion.
This training course is aimed at professionals in family support and counseling, community and social work, pediatrics, and all other interested parties. Continuing education credits for midwives and physicians are being applied for.
The training course is offered as part of the project “Climate-healthy around birth and early childhood”, which is funded by the GKV Alliance for Health Bremen.
