District: Walle

"Baby Time in Bremen" offers you sound and professionally competent support through the various life situations during the family phase. The practice owner is Babette Wegehaupt, a licensed psychotherapist specializing in counseling, support, and even psychotherapeutic trauma therapy for families.

My treatment focuses on issues from the preverbal stage, meaning anything that was experienced as distressing or traumatic before the age of four, from conception onward. I treat babies, children, and adults with their early childhood issues.

Another focus of treatment is the professional advisory and therapeutic support of parents and children during the fertility phase, pregnancy, and around the time of birth and infancy.

In "attachment-oriented body psychotherapy", I also offer parents the opportunity to work through their own history in order to be able to live their own role as mother or father in a more reflective and unburdened way.

My qualifications include my license as a non-medical practitioner for psychotherapy, as well as training in "Attachment-Oriented Body Psychotherapy" and "Emotional First Aid" (EEH) developed by Thomas Harms in Bremen, and "Integrative Baby Therapy" developed by Matthew Appleton from Bristol, England. I am also a certified lactation consultant, a certified GfG Family Companion®, a neonatal support specialist (supporting families with premature and sick newborns), and a member of the German Federal Association "Das frühgeborene Kind e. V." (The Premature Child).

Since 2009 I have been working at PiB (Pflegekinder in Bremen) as a freelance speaker for qualification and advice and in accompanying advisory groups for full-time and day care providers.

Furthermore, since 2011 I have been working as a freelance instructor for various courses at the "House of the Family" in Walle and, for several years now, also in the baby clinic.

Since 2009 I have had my own practice in Bremen-Walle, “Babyzeit in Bremen”, where I have also been working therapeutically since 2014.
