In the Bremen-Weser-Ems region, there are approximately 20 groups that advocate for human rights. For those interested in Bremen and the surrounding area, we hold an information evening every first Wednesday of the month at 6:30 pm in our office at Villa Ichon (Goetheplatz 4). AI in schools We would be happy to visit your school to present the topic of "Human Rights" and Amnesty International's work. This can be done as part of regular lessons, a project day, or a project week. For an introduction, a presentation of at least two hours is recommended: "Amnesty International's Fight Against Human Rights Violations Worldwide." This concerns the following content:- What are human rights?
- Where are they injured?
- What can we do about it?
- the death penalty
- torture
- Guantanamo and the fight against terrorism
- Refugees and asylum,
- Human rights violations against women
- Economy, arms and human rights
- Children as victims of violence/child soldiers

AI teacher distribution list
We are also looking for teachers who are willing to present an Amnesty International case in class at regular intervals (4-6 weeks) and have students who wish to do so sign the petition. This will give students a glimpse into other cultures and countries where human rights violations occur.
